A Vision for 2029

At STMC POC Communities, we believe that housing preservation is the cornerstone of community restoration. Our 2027 initiative introduces a revolutionary Mixed-Use Reparative Hub—a dual-building campus designed to anchor our scattered-site housing network while fostering economic self-sufficiency.

A Community That Works: The Economic Hub

The first floor of our residential building isn’t just space—it’s an Economic Engine. By hosting fee-based programs that serve the general public, we create a sustainable ecosystem where community commerce funds social impact.

  • Shepherd Manna Grocery: Fresh, accessible food for the neighborhood.

  • STMC Thrift Store: Quality goods that provide a second life for resources and a first step for job training.

  • The Beauty & Barber Shop: A hub for community connection and professional vocational practice.

  • The Learning & Leadership Center

To ensure the long-term success of our residents, we have separated our administrative and educational functions into a standalone Professional Center. This ensures our participants have a dedicated space to focus on growth, away from the hustle of daily life.

Shepherd’s Little Lamb Child Center: On-site childcare that removes the single largest barrier to employment for our residents.

The Sustainability Classroom: Where participants engage in our core curriculum—Economics, Sociology, and Psychology—to build a roadmap for lifelong wealth and stability.

Care Navigation Suites: Private offices for our high-intensity support team, where Care Navigators manage the Sustainability Development Individual Service Plan (SDISP) for every household.

Holistic Housing: 50 Units of Dignity

We are expanding our footprint to provide 50 high-quality scattered cultural communities residential units. Unlike traditional one-size-fits-all models, our configuration is intentionally designed to support the diverse needs of our community, specifically prioritizing scattered communities for single-father families, veterans, and Elderly aging in place and multi-generational Youth and Young Adults Foster Care Releasees households.

  • 10 Studio & 1-Bedroom Units: Providing a foundation for individual adults transitioning to independence (larger quantity of units for veterans and elderly communities).

  • 15 Two-Bedroom Units: Dedicated to single male parents seeking a stable environment to thrive.

  • 15 Three-Bedroom Units: Specialized layouts for large families and those in crisis, ensuring that no family is separated due to a lack of space. (larger quantity of units for single male parent communities)

  • 10 Four-Bedroom Units: Dedicated to single male parents of small families seeking a stable environment to thrive. (larger quantity of units for single male parent communities)

Why It Matters

This isn't just a building; it’s a Paradigm Shift. By integrating housing, commerce, and education, we are not just "fixing" a crisis—we are building a neighborhood.

"We are moving from survival to sustainability. By 2029, the STMC Reparative Hub will stand as a testament to what happens when we invest in people, not just property."
